More elder services

We strive to help our clients and their families avoid the devastating costs of long-term care, and help ease the emotional stress that long-term care presents. Our ultimate goal is to help seniors secure the highest care possible while preserving their security and dignity. As Elder Law attorneys we are proactive in securing eligibility for public benefits; however, if the need for long-term care was not contemplated, we will still be able to mitigate asset depletion. This is referred to as Crisis Planning.

We make elder care planning simpler!

We specialize in elder law because it allows us to help real people during a genuine time of need, not just by providing legal guidance in a confusing area but emotional comfort as well. The need to take immediate action can be disconcerting when you're not certain where to start. We'll help you find out just that. Call us at 843.762.3554 to set up a time; we will do our best to accommodate your schedule and desired way to meet.

Elder care plans

We'll work with you to create an elder care plan before or during a crisis:

  • We help our elder law clients develop a plan to efficiently use available health insurance options, including Medicare, Medicaid, and VA benefits, whether it's at the last minute or they're preparing in advance.
  • We provide information, advice, and help navigate pension planning.

Elder care financial structuring

We'll help you structure your finances to enable your new elder care plan:

  • We help our elder law clients structure their assets to qualify for government benefits, minimize taxes, and/or avoid probate, which can be an expensive, long, and stressful process for their families.
  • We work to protect our elder law clients' property; for instance, we might organize a house transfer to secure a family property, establish a trust to reduce inheritance taxes, recommend the development of joint accounts, or protect the assets of a well spouse when the other spouse requires long term care.

Help with legalwork regarding long term care

We provide guidance to our elder law clients about the long term care living options available to them, including aging in place, financial caregiver support and assisted living... and set them up for success during the application process.

Assistance with end-of-life issues

We help our elder law clients create wills, living wills and other advance directives, powers of attorney, and other legal documents that can protect their rights and help relieve uncertainty on the part of their loved ones during a time of crisis.
